Overview

Roth Cognitive Engineering is a small company that conducts research and application in the areas of human factors and cognitive engineering. It was started in June 1997. Dr. Emilie Roth is the Principal Scientist.

Dr. Roth is a cognitive psychologist (Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.). She has conducted research and application in the area of cognitive performance and ways to enhance it for over 15 years. Until May of 1997 she worked at the Westinghouse Science & Technology Center, performing research and development in the areas of applied cognitive psychology, human factors, and human-computer interaction, for Westinghouse divisions as well outside customers.

As Principal Scientist of Roth Cognitive Engineering, she has extended the analysis and design concepts to new domains including military command and control, intelligence analysis, medical decision-making and railroad operations.
